Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on packing machines (e.g., flow pack, vertical form-fill-seal, shrink wrapping, labeling, carton packing, etc.).
Diagnose mechanical issues such as gear problems, bearing failures, misalignment, pneumatic/hydraulic faults, and machine jamming.
Conduct daily machine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and setup to ensure smooth operation.
Support production teams during machine start-up, changeovers, and calibration.
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns quickly to reduce downtime and maintain production targets.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts usage, and machine performance.
Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans (PM schedules).
Ensure compliance with safety standards and report unsafe conditions.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement solutions to enhance equipment efficiency (OEE).
Collaborate with electrical/automation teams to resolve electromechanical issues.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience with packing machines in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
Strong mechanical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, gear systems, and mechanical assemblies.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and machine manuals.
Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Familiarity with maintenance systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Knowledge of safety standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP).
