About the Role:
At OMQ, the Senior 2D Designer plays a vital role in ensuring that all static designs are delivered at the highest quality, aligned with the creative concept and the visual identity of each event. The scope of work includes designing invitations, signage, interactive screens, print materials, communication files, and presentations. This role works within the creative team to transform concepts into print-ready or digital display outputs with precise quality and visual appeal, reflecting the creativity and spirit of OMQ while matching the nature of each event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design all static outputs for events, such as invitations, banners, billboards, interactive screens, and print materials.
- Coordinate with printing or display vendors to ensure the final product matches the original approved designs.
- Apply the event’s visual identity accurately and consistently across all visual materials.
- Transform creative ideas and concepts into print-ready or digital display designs following the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team and the Creative Director to understand the event’s direction and ensure design alignment with the overall vision.
- Prepare final files for printing or display, ensuring correct sizing and technical specifications for each display medium.
- Review designs before delivery to ensure they are error-free and meet professional quality standards.
- Suggest visual enhancements or design solutions that improve output quality and enhance audience experience.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends and apply relevant ones that align with event nature and target markets.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and contribute to developing integrated visual concepts.
- Support junior or new designers by overseeing certain tasks and reviewing their work when needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Media, or a related field.
- Advanced courses in Branding Design, Printing, or User Experience Design.
- Minimum of 3 years in graphic design.
- Experience working on large-scale projects that require producing a variety of visual materials for multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in event design, exhibitions, or promotional campaigns is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).
- Knowledge of presentation tools and design fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of printing techniques and design output standards.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluent in Arabic.
- Proficient in English especially in technical design and print terminology.
