About the Role:
Dunes Construction is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Technical Office Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at our project site in Waslet Dahshour β 6th October City. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in shop drawings, AutoCAD, and BOQ preparation, with a proven ability to coordinate technical operations within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review shop drawings in accordance with project specifications and design drawings.
- Develop detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for all structural and architectural components.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance of construction drawings with project requirements.
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
- Conduct material take-offs and prepare requisitions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of revisions and drawing logs.
- Participate in technical meetings and provide engineering support to the project management team.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing method statements and construction procedures.
- Support cost control by ensuring material quantities align with project budgets.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4β5 years of proven experience in a Technical Office role within the construction sector.
- Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD and technical drawing standards.
- Working knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and quality standards (e.g., ACI, ASTM, BS standards).
- Solid understanding of construction materials, structural systems, and execution methods.
- Strong experience with BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and material take-off.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and engineering software tools (e.g., Revit, Primavera, Civil 3D, or other BIM tools , or equivalent is a plus).
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify architectural and structural drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
