Job Title: IT\OT System Administrator - Manufacturing Facility

Job Summary: KOCH is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT System Administrator to manage the IT and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructure at our automated glass manufacturing facility in 10th of Ramadan. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, customer service orientation, and exceptional communication skills to ensure seamless operations, robust security, and effective coordination across various internal and external teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Administer and maintain core IT/OT systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability within an automated manufacturing environment.
- Technical Support & Coordination: Serve as the primary IT coordinator for Egypt, collaborating with diverse internal and external teams to resolve technical issues efficiently using a ticketing system.
- Operational Technology Integration: Act as a key liaison between manufacturing operational technology and business IT, ensuring capabilities are aligned to support production needs.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain the security matrix, addressing both IT security risks and human security risks, specifically for automated divisions with minimal human interaction.
- Backup & Recovery: Oversee system backup and restore procedures to safeguard critical data and operational continuity.
- Network & Firewall Management: Possess strong knowledge of firewall security and Cisco products, contributing to network stability and protection.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide high-quality customer service for internal users, blending technical expertise with effective communication to address and resolve issues.
- Emergency Response: Be available to take over sudden and critical IT/OT issues, requiring close proximity to the 10th of Ramadan facility for rapid on-site resolution during emergencies (not routine 24/7 support).
- Rare Requirements Handling: Address unique or rare technical requirements as they arise, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT System Administration roles, preferably within a multinational company environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Cisco products; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with system backup and restore tools and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of firewall security principles and configuration.
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and coordination across diverse teams.
- Proven ability to blend customer service experience with technical knowledge to support end-users effectively.
- Experience in coordinating between IT capabilities and operational technology in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, handling urgent issues with a flexible approach.
Work Environment & Specifics:
- This role is based at our manufacturing glass facility in 10th of Ramadan, Cairo.
- Candidates must reside near the 10th of Ramadan area to ensure quick response times for sudden, critical issues.
- Support is primarily on-call for emergencies, not a continuous 24/7 presence.
- The role involves working with highly automated manufacturing divisions.
