Vinbay is Hiring: Senior PHP Engineer (Remote)
Vinbay is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior PHP Engineer to join our remote team. You will play a key role in leading backend development, building scalable and secure SaaS platforms using PHP Laravel, and collaborating closely with frontend and mobile teams.
Location: Remote (Preferably Cairo, Egypt)
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Role Overview
As a Senior PHP Engineer at Vinbay, you will be responsible for:
• Leading backend development efforts using PHP Laravel framework
• Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems and APIs
• Optimizing database performance and managing MySQL-heavy applications
• Supporting migration from monolithic architecture to microservices (if applicable)
• Collaborating with frontend (React) and mobile (React Native) teams for full product integration
• Ensuring CI/CD readiness by working closely with QA and DevOps teams
• Maintaining high code quality, security standards, and compliance with GDPR and company protocols
• Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and improving development processes
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of backend development experience using PHP Laravel in SaaS or product-based environments
• Strong expertise in PHP (Laravel framework) and MySQL database design and optimization
• Experience with RESTful APIs, multi-tenant applications, and third-party integrations
• Familiarity with Git workflows, Agile delivery, CI/CD pipelines, caching (Redis), and queuing systems (RabbitMQ)
• Excellent problem-solving, system design, debugging, and communication skills
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
• Preferred certifications: Zend Certified PHP Engineer, AWS Developer Associate, Agile/Scrum certification (optional but a plus)
