Job Summary
A leading FMCG organization with international operations, is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance across corporate, commercial, and litigation matters. The role focuses on supporting the company’s legal compliance, mitigating risks, and ensuring smooth operations across local and international markets. The candidate will handle both corporate governance and court-related matters, including appeals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support on corporate governance, contracts, and commercial agreements.
- Handle corporate legal matters, including company registrations, compliance, and policy drafting.
- Manage litigation cases and coordinate with law firms for cases in the Court of Appeal and other courts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners, and clients.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and international trade requirements.
- Support internal stakeholders on employment law, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Keep up-to-date with legal developments and advise management on potential impacts.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); professional certifications a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in corporate legal advisory and litigation.
- Fluent English speaker is a must
- Experience working in law offices
- Strong knowledge of Egyptian corporate, commercial, and labor laws.
- Proven experience handling cases in the Court of Appeal.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Days Off: Fridays & Saturdays
- Work Location: Sheikh Zayed, Cairo
