General Accountant at Dunes Construction


Location: Sheikh Zayed
Working Hours: Saturday to Thursday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Experience: 3-4 years (Construction industry experience is a plus)

Dunes Construction is a leading company in the construction industry, known for its excellence in delivering high-quality projects. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will bring 3-4 years of accounting experience, with preference given to those who have worked in the construction sector.


Job Responsibilities:


Financial Recordkeeping:

  • Handle daily accounting entries, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the company's accounting system.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly and prepare monthly financial reports to track company financial health.

Bank and Petty Cash Management:

  • Run errands to the bank, including making deposits, withdrawing cash, and handling other financial transactions as required.
  • Maintain accurate petty cash records, ensuring that all disbursements are properly documented and accounted for.

Invoice and Payment Processing:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are paid and received on time.
  • Assist in preparing payments for suppliers and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.

Assistance in Financial Reporting:

  • Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in managing budgeting and forecasting processes, providing critical support to senior management.

Compliance and Record Maintenance:

  • Ensure compliance with Egyptian tax laws and all other relevant financial regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Other Administrative Tasks:

  • Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Assist in various finance-related tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience (preferably in the construction industry).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Knowledge of Egyptian tax laws and financial regulations is a plus.
