About the Role:
Dunes Construction is looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Senior Technical Office (Architecture) Engineer to join our team at the Waslet Dahshour project site in 6th October City. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in architectural shop drawings, coordination between trades, and BOQ development, and will serve as a key liaison between design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and revise architectural shop drawings to ensure alignment with project specifications and design intent.
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and finishing teams to resolve design clashes and ensure integrated drawings.
- Prepare and update architectural BOQs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
- Conduct material take-offs and support procurement with timely and precise quantity requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local and international architectural codes, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Participate in design coordination and technical meetings to align with project timelines and execution plans.
- Provide engineering support during execution to address technical clarifications and site modifications.
- Maintain drawing logs, revision histories, and documentation control in line with company standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of architectural method statements and mock-up approvals.
- Ensure timely submission and approval of architectural deliverables in coordination with consultants and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering.
- 4β5 years of solid experience in a Technical Office role, preferably in medium to large-scale construction projects.
- High proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of architectural detailing and technical standards.
- Knowledge of architectural codes, design guidelines, and finishing materials.
- Strong experience in BOQ preparation, material take-off, and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Skilled in using MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with BIM tools like Revit, Navisworks, or Civil 3D is a strong advantage.
- Ability to interpret and produce high-quality drawings with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
