Business Development Manager – FMCG
Location: Cairo, Egypt (with local travel)
Role Overview
The Product Business Development Manager owns the end-to-end FMCG product lifecycle—from concept and sourcing to pricing, compliance, go-to-market execution, distribution, and revenue growth. The role bridges commercial strategy, suppliers, manufacturing, branding, and sales to deliver market-ready, compliant, and profitable products for the Egyptian market and selected export opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify FMCG product opportunities based on consumer trends, retail gaps, Horeca needs, and margin potential
Define product concepts, positioning, pricing, and margin targets supported by feasibility studies
Source and manage manufacturers, co-packers, and suppliers; lead commercial negotiations
Ensure full regulatory compliance with NFSA, Ministry of Health, and customs requirements
Build product costing models and pricing structures across modern trade, traditional trade, Horeca, and promotions
Oversee packaging, branding readiness, SKU architecture, and pack size strategy
Lead go-to-market planning, launch execution, and early performance tracking
Develop distribution networks, onboard distributors and key accounts, and negotiate trade terms
Optimize post-launch performance and manage product lifecycle, extensions, and exit decisions

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (Food Science preferred for food FMCG)
5–8 years of FMCG experience in business development, product, or category management
Proven FMCG product launch experience in Egypt
Strong knowledge of local manufacturing, modern trade, distributors, and NFSA regulations
Working Conditions:
From Sunday to Thursday
Friday and Saturday are off
