Role Description
The Senior External Auditor will lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion. Responsibilities include supervising audit teams, reviewing financial statements, assessing internal controls, identifying key risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and IFRS, and providing strategic recommendations to clients.
The role requires direct client interaction, managing timelines, reviewing junior staff work, and ensuring high-quality audit deliverables in line with professional standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4–6 years of experience in External Audit (preferably within a reputable audit firm)
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Solid understanding of auditing standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in leading audit engagements and supervising junior team members
- Advanced financial analysis and risk assessment skills
- Experience in evaluating internal controls and identifying control weaknesses
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
-Excellent communication, leadership, and client management skills
-CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification (completed or in progress)
